The Freck­led An­gel has slot­ted per­fectly into An­gle­sey’s ever-grow­ing foodie scene. Mike Jones’s ex­per­i­men­tal side shines through in his fu­sion Bri­tish-meets-Span­ish tapas. It’s the per­fect set­ting to fol­low Mike’s phi­los­o­phy of cre­at­ing memories to trea­sure.

We ate: Sautéed squid, pep­per and bean cas­soulet, twice-baked Perl Las souf­flé, spinach and feta filo pie. We say: Fun, orig­i­nal, innovative. You can feel the love (and blood, sweat and tears) that has been poured into this small, in­de­pen­dent restau­rant.
