Friends, family and fellow golfers gathered to honour the life of PGA professional Jonny Pearce at Pryors Hayes Golf Club near Chester.
Jonny sadly passed away last November after a four-year battle with brain cancer and his loved ones organised the day to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity. The rain may have fallen but spirits stayed strong and competitors continued to smile down the fairways. Trick-shot pro, Ady Wheatcroft, from Ace Golf Challenge brought some fun to the ninth hole with his impressive skills.
The afternoon raised £25,000 from sponsors, donations and a raffle whilst the team representing Northwich Glass took the top spot in the competition. Organisers hope it will be the first of an ongoing annual event held in Jonny’s memory.
