What is it? Single owner collections sold by the executors of two Manchester deceased estates hit the high notes at Capes Dunn auctioneers.
What makes it special? Among a collection of musical instruments was this whacky Atrics twin neck guitar, one with 12 strings, the other with six, and jazz records, which included Blue Note releases from such artists as Dexter Gordon, Lou Donaldson, Andrew Hill and more.
How much did it sell for? Musical instruments sold in lots realised a total of £7,650 with the Atrics guitar fetching £130; 90 lots of vinyl LPs fetched £15,780 and the star lot of jazz records realised a hammer price of £480. They sold in the room after fierce competition from the internet.
