Wild Din­ing

The lat­est craze for a unique foodie ex­pe­ri­ence is for­est din­ing, cour­tesy of pho­tog­ra­pher and stylist Amanda Far­nese Heath and her com­pany The Mad March Hare. Amanda has come up with the un­usual con­cept of set­ting up ta­bles in the mid­dle of nowhere and cook­ing and par­ty­ing the nights away – lit­er­ally un­der the stars. Book­ings have be­gun for their next ex­pe­ri­ence in the mag­i­cal for­est near Tyn­ing­hame in East Loth­ian in early Au­tumn. The suc­cess of the Mad March Hare is proof that one should never give up on a dream and, as Amanda says, “It is a beau­ti­ful thing when a ca­reer and a pas­sion come to­gether”. She has also been able to show­case the tal­ents of the lo­cal ar­ti­san pro­duc­ers of the area around Ed­in­burgh which she is do­ing so much to pro­mote. Her idea has proved to be not so mad af­ter all!
