Sit­u­ated in Nor­mandy, near Hon­fleur, in the heart of the Auge re­gion, Le Do­maine d’Ablon is a lux­u­ri­ous ‘mai­son d’hotes’ per­fect for a fam­ily win­ter break. The gar­den and fields sur­round­ing the do­maine look truly mag­i­cal un­der the snow. One of the high­lights at the do­maine is dis­cov­er­ing the rich gas­tron­omy of Nor­mandy with Chef Jerome Bil­lo­chon who is happy to share his tips and tricks. His work­shops re­veal the se­crets of Nor­man cui­sine, pas­tries and choco­late. If you rather eat than learn, you’ll be served sea­sonal meals (with most veg­eta­bles com­ing from the Do­maine’s own potager) in the pri­vacy of your suite.

The hall­mark of all the lux­ury cot­tages is the at­ten­tion to de­tail and the use of orig­i­nal ma­te­ri­als. The re­cently opened Dove­cote Suite is set in a 17th cen­tury dove­cote and the bed­room is un­der a cathe­dral-like spire. When it comes to Christ­mas, the Do­maine goes to town with the decor and the food, and there is a gour­mand fam­ily din­ner made from lo­cal pro­duce in­clud­ing lo­cal cheeses, ap­ple com­pote and cal­va­dos.­mained­
