Building on our successes to develop our learning communities

-

Curriculum leaders from six partner secondary schools led over 50 workshops sessions during another productive Professional Day to build on the good practice from our first Joint Inset day in 2018.

Over four hundred 400 teachers worked together to build on their shared passion to deliver Excellence in Education for all the young people in their schools across this area of West Sussex.

Here at the Bourne Community College, we hosted very focused and interactive sessions in PSE, Computer Science and RE and here are some of the comments from the teachers who took part: PSE & Citizenship:

“We love the resources including the pink bracelets and the Whatsapp.”

“Good to see the different structures of planning and draw on best practises for 2019 and prepare for 2020.”

“It helped me prepare for 2020 and we are now on the right track together.”

Religious Education:

“Sharing activities and resources and a very practical session that we can actually implement tomorrow.”

“This year has worked so well with more staff involved and so more expertise was brought to the table.”

“Thanks to our great facilitator and for the excellent catering.” Computer Science:

“A brilliant opportunity to try out new resources and software which we don’t always have the chance to do with some more expensive products.”

“So interesting to share thoughts with other colleagues and have time to plan ahead.”

A huge thank you to all those who organised the day for their colleagues which was enormously appreciated and successful.
