Land Trust wants to hear views on key town issues

-

Two public meetings are being held today (Thursday) by the new Emsworth Community Land Trust.

The sessions are at the community centre behind the fire station at 3.30pm or 7.30pm. The aim is to discuss and share ideas on ensuring Emsworth remains a great place to live.

One of the aims of the formation of the town’s Community Land Trust was concern over the future of the Victoria Cottage Hospital site, now earmarked for the doctors’ surgery.

Community Land Trusts, of which there are more than 200 in the UK, can identify suitable sites and work with partners and the community to build affordable accommodation and can build community and health facilities.
