Students showcase talent to celebrity hairdresser at event
College students have teamed up and showcased their talent to celebrity hairdresser, Lee Stafford, at a special event.
On Wednesday, March 13, hair students from Chichester College attended ‘Dinner with Lee Stafford’ to show off all the techniques they have learnt on their courses.
Many local salons were invited to the evening, held in the college’s 64 Restaurant and all guests enjoyed threecourse dinner both cooked and served by catering and hospitality students.
Between each course small groups of hair students presented their models to Lee, with each model carrying a unique look from twisted tong curls to hair up and different colouring.
The mix of apprentices and full-time students, are trained at the college’s Lee Stafford Education Academy by the college’s team of lecturers who receive ongoing training and professional development from Lee and his team of experts.
Lee left the evening impressed by the standard of work from both the students in the salon and in the kitchen.
He said: “I thought it was great seeing the students preparing and they did an amazing job, especially considering some of them are only six months into their courses.
“The food and service was brilliant too, I just see so much enthusiasm and talent in the team here at Chichester and you need that.
“If you want to create enthusiastic and passionate students, the trainers have to reflect that.”
The college was one of the first to partner with Lee Stafford’s programme back in 2015 and since seven of the college’s lecturers have been named ‘Master Trainers’ after reaching the highest standard of achievement.
