Candidate for Middleton

I am also contesting the Middleton on sea ward on May 2 and would like to respond to Shirley Hayward’s letter.

As for this supposed conflict of interest between my role as a WSCC councillor and an ADC councillor, this is absolute rubbish.

WSCC plan to sell pockets of WSCC owned land and not build themselves. Consequently, a proposal for housing would be from a developer not WSCC, hence no conflict.

Representing the community at all levels of local government is an opportunity to jointly identify good, realistic opportunities. It is a benefit for us all so lets have informed and joined up thinking and working.
