Southbourn­e met old friends and had a pleasant evening of bowling in their home match against Graffham. The match concluded with a supper provided by the Southbourn­e members. Petworth 40 Southbne 26 In the Brooks Motors League against Petworth, the Petworth artificial green had very different characteri­stics to Southbourn­e’s and by the time the Southboune team had mastered the green it was too late to catch up, Petworth taking all six points.

In division one of the West Sussex League Southbourn­e were delighted to get their best away win of the season so far.

In close games on the rinks skipped by Paul Butler and Antony Bull there were wins.

And the rink skipped by Gary Wyatt drew, giving Southbourn­e seven points to Pagham’s three. In a friendly against the Grasshoppe­rs, Southbourn­e won on three of the four mixed triples but lost heavily on the other. They won by three shots.
