Charity walk for sepsis charity raises thousands
A team of fundraising champions took on a walking challenge in memory of a special 10 year old. After meeting at East Beach Car Park in Selsey, the team trekked across four miles to raise funds for a sepsis charity. The walk was organised by the grandmother of Maddie Rose Thompson, who was 10 years old when she tragically died of sepsis. In addition to raising funds before the walk began, the group brought along collecting boxes to collect change on the day. Organiser Marian Carney said: “The fundraising is for sepsis and in memory of our grandaughter Maddie who died from sepsis aged just 10 years old. We have raised £2,300 for sepsis. We had 22 people walking with us. It was a great day.” For more information please visit www.sepsistrust.org.
