Moaners trying to stop our fun

-

Herewegoagain.whatis it this time? OMG. A gin festival. Mothers ruin. We can’t have that.

I have lived in Chichester over 60 years. In that time I have seen, and enjoyed, many events. Gala Day. The Military Police March. Real Ale and Jazz. Party in the Park. In all that time I can’t recall all this so-called drunken debauchery rampaging around the streets. We had twice as many pubs then. All we have is Co-op shops in their place.

All I seem to see now is these small group of miserable. Moaners. Trying to stop anything the city people might enjoy ie the ice rink. What a battle that was. Oh the poor grass. And then the cycling event. As luck would have it the weather decided that one. And by the way we are still waiting for this exciting new route they said they could organise so much better. I think Nikkie England you have a battle on your hands with this lot.

You’re so right, Chichester should be so much more. Chichester should be renamed the morgue of the south. All I see is shops closing and we need to revive Chichester. What with out of town super stores and housing estates and retirement homes. What joy. LESLEY COOPER Baxendale Road, Chichester
