Concern over closure plans

We are concerned about the proposed closure of Orchard ward at the Harold Kidd Unit mental health hospital, being the only one for this area and its surrounding areas.

This will be devastating for people in Chichester needing treatment and would mean having to travel to Worthing or Crawley. This would be hard for them and for friends and relatives coming to visit, which is helping their recovery.

No one knows when they might need this vital hospital where they are looked after with such dedicated care as they would get here.
