House of Fraser revitalisation

-

I would like to see the ground floor of House of Fraser made in to an indoor farmers’ market with permanent proper stalls which can be rented.

Apart from the farmers’ market, some stalls could be used by local businesspeople who cannot afford to rent a shop.

If the area is open-plan and open daily I am sure people will come to browse as well as buy.

The upper floor I would like made into a large indoor playground with lots of activities and a separate gym room for adults and teenagers who want to, and need to, do more exercising but cannot afford to go to a gym

The thought of losing weight and even possibly keeping the hall lights on by cycling or jogging on the treadmill I am sure would mean the facilities would be well used.

Now, the challenge will be to make the play area and gym area free or for a very cheap price and the stall rentals again should not prohibit the very small and new businesses and farmers from taking a stall.

I am sure it will bring families into the city, make Chichester unique and save a store from being left empty or used by the homeless.

Please consider my suggestion seriously. I am sorry I cannot provide a solution for the funding of it but it must be possible, please. SHEELA CURTIS Castle Avenue, Havant
