Biker seriously injured
Police have launched an appeal for witnesses after a motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in a collision with a car near Strettington on Tuesday.
According to Sussex Police, the incident, involving a moped and a green Citroen Xsara, happened on the A285.
It was at the junction with New Road and Stane Street, shortly before 10.40am.
The road was closed until about 1.25pm as emergency services dealt with the incident.
A spokesman said: “The moped rider was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with multiple, potentially lifechanging, injuries. The
Citroen driver sustained minor injuries which did not require hospital treatment.
“Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have captured it on dash cam, is asked to email collision. appeal@sussex.pnn.police. uk quoting Operation Southbrook.”
