Homeless to benefit from foundation’s donation
A Chichester homelessness charity has received a grant of £7,834 from the Morrisons Foundation to help it meet the increased need for its services during the Covid-19 outbreak.
Stonepillow provides support for homeless and vulnerable people as they seek to achieve sustainable independence and wellbeing.
Debbie Jupe, trusts and grants officer at the charity, said: “We are immensely grateful for the support of the Morrisons Foundation, whose grant is ensuring we can provide key-work support, essential items and food to rough sleepers in Chichester and Bognor Regis now housed in temporary accommodation provided by the leisure and hotel industry.”
Morrisons Foundation trustee David Scott said: “We know that the coronavirus outbreak presents a particular risk to homeless people and I’m delighted that the Morrisons Foundation has been able to help fund Stonepillow’s vital work.”
