Bosham boost funds and firms

Bosham Football Club have launched a membership style card which will provide the holder with a host of benefits offered by local businesses.

For just £5 a month for an individual or £10 for a family of up to six, the card will entitle the holder or holders to an array of discounts for a year. Currently there are several businesses supporting the project including the Anchor Bleu, Memories of India and Bosham Catering.

Bosham FC anticipate further businesses getting on board as momentum grows.

Neil Redman, chairman of Bosham FC, said: “The Community Membership Card scheme will help us to bring in a little extra revenue to support our club during this difficult period. It is also a way we can help local businesses by encouraging our database to spend time and money locally.

“We have a fantastic committee with lots of exciting work going on behind the scenes.

“For the 2020-21 season we will have three youth teams, a reserve side, first team and vets; this is fantastic and allows us to offer local football to as many different demographics as possible.

“We are also exploring the opportunity to form strategic partnerships with local sports groups and councils on providing sport for the community.

“While building for the future it is important that we look to develop the sustainability of the club financially.

The club have been extremely active off the pitch during these unprecedented times with activities such as exercise leaderboards for the youth teams and live Facebook fitness sessions for players and local community to get involved with.

The club have increased their marketing activity extensively through the power of social media.

They have also seen record numbers of visitors to their own website and are looking to stream home games live through Facebook for the 2020-21 season.
