Legend Souness links up with Chichester charity
Football fans across Sussex have a chance to join an online evening with Liverpool, Rangers and Scotland legend Graeme Souness.
The midfield maestro turned Sky Sports pundit will be joining Dementia Support for an exciting event live on Zoom on February 11, from 7:30pm.
Souness will be discussing his distinguished and successful career, which has spanned over 40 years, as a football player, manager, and now pundit. There will be a focus on his tales from the world of football, including his time as a player for the Scottish team, Middlesbrough, Liverpool and as multi title-winning playermanager at Rangers.
He will also give his views on new research linking dementia and football, and how it might affect the game in the future. General admission tickets are available at £25 and anyone who makes a donation will be part of a raffle to win signed merchandise (including Liverpool shirts and a football) and winners will be drawn on the evening.
The highest 25 donations will be part of a private Q&A where you can talk to Souness yourself.
Dementia Supprt is a Chichester-based charity and event organisers said: “We understand that the social side of things is limited right now, so this would be the perfect opportunity to reconnect with the sport and each other for a fun evening with a football icon (even if he isn’t your personal childhood hero).”
