Cups bring Fishbourne’s winning form to an end

FISHBOURNE

After a good run of results Fishbourne lost in the Midhurst Cup to Stedham 89-41 and in the Sussex Abergavenny Cup to Maltravers 34-13.

In the Brooks Motors League v Storrington, Fishbourne won 37-27 and took four points from the leaders.

A match against the Witterings B was close but Fishbourne lost 31-35. They gained two points thanks to the winning rink of Wendy Dean, Bernard Pack and Bernard Wallsgrove.

In the Finlayson Trophy, the final was between Mike Beal and Bernard Wallsgrove and Babs Walker and Christopher Holt, resulting in a win for Mike and Bernard by two shots.

The trophy and a bottle of Champagne each was presented by Fishbourne president Bernard Pack. The Champagne was donated by Marlies and Mike Hall-hall.
