Time to celebrate the care givers

-

As we all know, times have been tough recently, with all of us suffering in some way or another and some a lot worse than others. It has led to care and compassion being more important than ever and the need for people to really step up to support families and friends wherever they can crucial. With that in mind, recognition of these people has never been more important than now, and the care industry is one industry that needs recognising more than ever. Care is an industry that demands people to go above and beyond every day with a lot of the extra care going unnoticed and it is certainly not just the act of wiping a few bums!

Personally, I have used a care company for a loved one and had a terrible experience with one specific employee and because, being British, we typically like to talk about our bad experiences as opposed to the positive ones,i have shared my story with many people but there are thousands of positive experiences that we never hear of and sharing these stories is important so that we are able to recognise these individuals. For anyone that knows me, knows that I am a major weeper. I have been party to many amazing stories of carers going the extra mile and unashamedly, tears have been shed. These are the stories that we are keen to hear about.

When thinking about care givers, we understand that there is a broad range of several types of carers and so whether it is an NHS carer, a care home carer, an unpaid carer, an in-home carer or carer's carer, it is so important that all these categories are recognised accordingly.

Artius Care is a local care provider and is looking to celebrate all carers, whether in the industry or someone that has cared for a loved one – you can find more about Artius at artiuscare.com

In association with V2 Radio, Artius Care wants to recognise all carers, across all care companies and organisations in Sussex and Hampshire. Therefore collectively, we’ve created the Artius Care Care Awards. Artius Care have arranged an awards ceremony and significant prizes to pass on, to include a flight from Goodwood over the south coast plus much, much more.

We want to hear about the carer who makes your day easier, brightens your day and brings a smile to the face of others. You can go on the V2 Radio website to nominate anybody that deserves recognition within the care industry or anyone that provides care of any kind!

Nominations close May 1.

V2radio is available to listen to online at v2radio.co.uk, via DAB, on the V2 Radio app and on smart speakers.
