Give your time to help group

-

The local branch of Parkinson’s UK is totally dependent upon charitable giving and volunteers freely giving their time.

Firstly, we want to say thank you to local folk who recently gave £465.23 at our collection at Chichester’s Market Cross.

Secondly, a very big thank you to our regular volunteers who keep the local group running despite the fact that we are often quite stretched.

Maybe you weren’t able to give to our financial collection but can I throw out a challenge to anyone who may have some spare time.

Perhaps you’ve recently retired or have part-time work. Please consider a great opportunity to find real fulfilment by donating time in support of running a local charitable group.

Part of the reward comes in the form of that ‘feel good’ factor that is an automatic return on investing your time into something very worthwhile.

Of even greater value is the fact that you have contributed to making life more bearable and enjoyable for those facing the various stages of their journey with Parkinson’s.

Anyone with an attitude of care and concern towards others can make a great contribution but those also with some computer skills willing to serve on our committee would be especially welcome.

We have need for a secretary, a co-ordinator of information for our newsletter and programme schedules as well as people to be involved in fundraising and publicity.

Your commitment can be tailored to your interests and time availability.

If you feel you might be able to offer some of your time please give me (Alan

Mee: 01243 788539) or our chairman (Ann Wallis:

07913 556199) a phone call in the first instance and we can provide you with more information.
