You will be amazed at what’s on your doorstep!

As we move through spring and head into summer, there is a lot to be excited about and look forward to in this glorious city of ours. I urge you to get out there and explore what the city can offer, there are experiences to be had to suit all ages and palettes.

As an exciting backdrop to the whole season, Culture Spark 2022 will be in full swing with some amazing and original events happening across the whole district.

The Platinum Jubilee in June will of course be a key event in our calendar and there will be a range of activities taking place in the city to mark the occasion, including a free augmented reality story trail that features magical characters that burst into life to share tales about the Queen’s reign.

Participants can also have fun taking selfies with the characters.

Over this weekend, Chichester BID alongside Chichester Cathedral will also be hosting a special event on the Cathedral Green – complete with music and entertainment.

A great way to relax and meet friends right in the middle of the city.

Chichester will be looking its very best with red, white and blue bunting and a national flag programme, giving a colourful backdrop to the historic centre of town.

In addition, with the return of the Festival of Flowers and to unite all the businesses over the Jubilee, local businesses will be challenged to put their best creative foot forward and take part in a window competition with a fabulous flower theme.

Look out for these stunning window displays during June, they will make the city a joy to stroll through.

To further celebrate all things floral, there will be increased planting throughout the streets including several wonderful flower installations provided by our local florist, Bunch.

Its been said often enough in recent months that we need to get out there again, meet up with friends and family, enjoy new experiences and also meet new people.

I expect we all agree with this! I would just like to remind you that on your doorstep is the perfect setting to make this happen.
