Desert Valley Auto Parts in Phoenix, Arizona is run by Jason McClure and his father Ron. In each episode they choose a classic car or truck from their junkyard to restore against the clock. The vehicle is then sent to auction. With more than 10,000 vehicles on over 100 acres of junkyard they should have the parts to make it happen. Unfortunately, there is often the addition of fake drama; breaking the only Barracuda rear glass that’s available, restoring a Charger in 14 days and miraculously only finding all the parts they need with a day to spare. As usual auction profits don’t appear to include staff wages, but the excursions out to the yard finding customer parts provide great opportunities to spot interesting cars.
