Chuck Palumbo and business partner Rick Dore search for enthusiasts with large collections of decrepit classic cars. If the owner agrees then the most interesting vehicle is selected for customising or restoration and everything else gets sold to finance the work.

It’s hit and miss as, yet again, the fake drama (irreplaceable parts getting broken) and ‘impossible’ deadlines usually overshadow the actual work. Since the owner isn’t allowed to see the build until the big reveal, everyone is taking a chance that the car is suitable.

It’s certainly amazing to see how many cars and parts one American can acquire.
