UK LOSES ITS MR MOPAR

-

Tony Oksien, widely regarded as the UK’s leading expert on M Mopars and one of the organisers of the Mopar EuroNats, he eld every summer at Santa Pod Raceway, has passed aw way. He leaves a wife Sharon and son Joe, as well as a bigb hole in the UK American car scene. As well as being a long-time Classic American contributor with his monthly MuscleM Car Files report, he had also established his own valuationv service, TOVA (Tony Oksien Valuation anda Appraisals). TOVA in a way was an embodiment of Tony’s expertise, asa it’s generally agreed that car valuations and appraisals really need to be carried out by an expert and with such an extensive range of knowledge and first-hand experience, Tony came highly recommended, offering expert advice to those who wished to purchase a classic car in the UK and mainland Europe or to import one from the US. He also offered guidance for those selling. A larger than life character, Tony’s legacies are the wealth of articles he penned for Classic American over the years, as well as his roles in setting up the Mopar Muscle Association, certainly one of the UK’s most active and passionate American car clubs, and his pivotal role in setting up and organising the Mopar EuroNats, the UK’s premier and only muscle car event that combines drag racing with a static show each summer at Santa Pod Raceway. We asked a few Mopar folk who knew Tony to say a few words…
