Kitt is an auction hit
It looks like David Hasselhoff wants to make space in his loft and garage, judging by the auction held on his behalf on the LiveAuctioneers website. Items included everything from signed merchandise, scripts, clothing, photographs and life-size cut-outs to a reproduction Kitt, Knight Rider’s black Pontiac-based talking car.
The car in question, not used in TV T production, is in the UK and sold for f a whopping $300k – not bad for a 32-year-old F-body Pontiac!
The new owner will have to pay for f delivery costs, according to the listing, but the Hoff pledged to drive the car to its new owner if the hammer price was more than 25% above the reserve price. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to his charitable organisations.
