1958 PONTIAC

During the Fifties, Pontiac built some sturdy cars, some pretty cars and, like most other American automakers, some garish cars. The 1958 models were truly overdone, super-gaudy ‘dreamboats’ with lots of chrome, lots of colour and rocket-ship styling, all of which makes them look like they’re taking off even when they’re standing still. All 1958 Pontiacs equipped with Hydra-Matic transmission were eligible for fuel injected or Tri-Power (triple carb) Tempest V8s. The 370cu in engine is capable of up to 310 horsepower.
