1966 CHEVROLET II NOVA

-

We’d have to award our ‘Sleeper of the Decade’ prize to Chevy’s 1966 Nova. It was, without a doubt, the lowest-profile muscle car ever built, and probably enjoyed a reputation as one of the most potent Detroit packages of the era. There were no stripes or scoops to bring attention to the 350bhp 327cu in option under the bonnet, and even the crossed racing flag badge on each wing suggested a much milder motor. In terms of price and performance, the Novas from 1962 to 1970 have much to offer the American classic car performance enthusiast.

Price guide: $26,000/£18,700
