E10 fiasco

Dear Classic American, I had to laugh when I read all the comments in the magazine and on your Facebook page about E10 fuel. The long and short of it is that it is no good for older classic Americans, but is fine for modern vehicles. It’s a pain, but several of the premium fuels have no ethanol in them whatsoever and I will be sticking with those in the future. A few pennies on a litre is preferable to an engine rebuild in my book, apart from which petrol is so expensive now it’s almost academic!

We wholly concur. Avoid E10 if you possibly can in your older or classic American… However, it should be fine in newer or modern American vehicles.
