MOCGB SANTA POD CLUB DAY
Santa Pod, Northants August 13, 2021
Like all the best laid plans in 2021, the decision on when to have a club day at Santa Pod was in the hands of the gods – would the weather help or hinder?! Fortunately for the Mustang Owners Club of Great Britain, it helped; in fact overcast skies brought cool air, always beneficial for oxygen-hungry V8s. Roy Holmes and his team did an expert job, not only bravely picking Friday 13th as a date, but making sure everyone knew where to be, at what time, to get the most out of the day. It was great to see classic and modern go head-to-head, and the invitation of a few other marques helped fuel some friendly rivalry. The marshals also did a great job allowing some grudge matches to happen by permitting cars on the warm-up lane. Every number plate permutation of the words ‘Mustang’ and ‘HellCat’ were on show, with 57 and 11 plate numbers lending themselves to that. Special mention to Adam at Mustang Maniac for sponsoring the trophies/tickets and sorting regalia logistics; oh, and recovering a few cars on his way in…
Roll on 2022, events like this show the true passion for ownership and are a great way to see, hear and smell American muscle!
