Perhaps the most time-consuming part of auto detailing your vehicle is choosing the right products for the job. Furthermore, because there are so many different products on the market, you need to make sure you get just the right products for each job.

Luckily, there are all sorts of specialist cleaning products to deal with every aspect of detailing your vehicle and not only that, these days we’re lucky to have a plethora of high tech and scientifically researched formulae available at our fingertips. After washing your car, Raceglaze’s filtered water ensures a spot-free finish, while ceramic detailing products from Gliptone and Meguiar’s provide unparalleled results in terms of gloss, finish and appearance. Gliptone even offers a Nano Ceramic Textile Defender which offers protection from UV and spills for up to 12 months, while Meguiar’s Hybrid Ceramic Wax is easy to use in a handy spray and offers so much more than a traditional wax.

303 Graphene’s Nano Spray Coating provides exceptional hydrophobic properties and can be used on glass, trim, wheels and even chrome. Taking things inside, there are even specialist products for leather interiors such as Leather Repair Company’s Leather Cleaning and Protection set, which even includes a specialist Mould Remover to tackle the dreaded scourge that blemishes damp interiors. Slightly more specialised, but no less important, is Rustbuster’s Epoxy Mastic chassis coating for that perfect finish underneath and to prevent corrosion.

Although some of these products are claimed to be entirely non-toxic, many use an eclectic mix of chemicals. So taking sensible precautions might save you from allergic reactions. Several of the manufacturers produce a wide range of detailing products, of which we only have space to show you a small selection here. Visit their websites for their full ranges and for more information – happy detailing!
