WHEELS DAY
Surrey Street Rodders’ annual season-opening extravaganza to raise money for charity and kick off the UK car show season takes place on Good Friday, which this year is on April 15. Expect to see Americans, hot rods, custom cars, British classics, VWs – basically anything interesting on four or two wheels. John Price will be on the P/A and there will be many traders and autojumble, with plenty of activities for kids and the whole family, as well as food and drink retailers. Organised by 1940s Mopar owners but open to all classics, The Pilgrimage is a one-day event featuring two cafe meets, a 50-mile cruise and a party night. Meet for breakfast/brunch at Silver Ball Cafe, 10am-1pm, cruise via the A1 to the Ace Cafe for their ‘All-American Cruise-In’ from 4pm, and stay for an evening of rock’n’roll. It’s back, bigger and better than ever for 2022 with loads of traders already booked in. Offering indoor and outside trade and display areas and attracting thousands of vehicles each year. This is one event you really can’t afford to miss. Children 13 and under go free. Inside and outside show car areas. Show field – show and shine. The show field is on grass outside the main hall and is open to anyone who has a hot rod, classic, rat rod, retro, etc., pre-’72 and/or American vehicle.
Best in Britain Competition. Closing date Monday, May 13, 2022. If your vehicle is an inside show car, in show condition inside and out, just send us some photos, we would love to hear from you. (Pre-1972 hot rod, classic, retro, custom or American). Those chosen will receive an automatic place inside the show car hall.
You can come for the day (9.30am - 5pm) or for the weekend (from 2pm Friday). Camping and evening entertainment is included with your weekend ticket. All tickets are per person. Show field: Weekend Tickets £40 per person (arrive from 10am). Single Day Ticket (Sat or Sun) £12 per person (arrive from 7.30am). (Driver and all passengers can purchase these tickets). General Admission: Weekend Tickets £47 per person (arrive from 2pm). Single Day £20 per person (Arrive from 9.30am). Booking fee applies to all tickets booked online. All tickets are per person.
