UNIQUE ARTWORK
Dear Classic American,
I hope you are keeping well. I am pleased to note in what has become a world of unimaginable change that you are still doing a wonderful job putting together Classic American. I have every issue since the magazine was first published, just after I bought my 1959 Dodge, which of course I still own. Frightening how time seems to fly past at such an accelerated rate of speed.
Once the lockdowns took effect, I shifted focus from my primary school supply work to my artwork and as you can see I have just completed another painting from which I have produced a run of fine art giclée prints. As you have no doubt already guessed, I was hoping that it might be possible for you to mention my artwork once again in a forthcoming issue of Classic American magazine?
I do remain extremely grateful for the help you have already so kindly given in the past to the promotion of my art prints. The resulting sales of my Hi-Way- Gas print were sufficient to practically cover my printing costs, so that even if I haven’t made any profit, I was at least able to share my passion for mid-20th century, music, fashion and of course cars, without making a financial loss. (Still have 360-odd prints of 400 to go!)
I have optimistically attached details of my work entitled Fun, Fun, Fun for your consideration. I also have high-resolution images of both Fun, Fun, Fun and Hi-Way- Gas if needed. I will not be offended should you be unable to include a mention of my prints in the magazine and remain appreciative of your support to date. I have also attached an image of the latest Kanter Auto Parts catalogue. They asked if they could use my artwork for the cover. Richard Bond
