Illustrated with a mixture of Ford press images and Dave’s own archive, you can really see what to look for (or avoid!) when buying one of these Mustangs. Their compact size and ‘tweakability’ in terms of performance made them a very popular choice throughout the Nineties and Noughties, but a casual glance on car selling sites or our own classifieds reveal them to be quite rare now.

Nevertheless, if you’re interested in buying one of these cars, then you could do a lot worse than getting your hands on this book and digesting it from cover to cover. It’s neatly divided into 17 chapters, so you can pinpoint what aspect you want to cover, from ‘15 minute evaluation’ to ‘Auctions’ and ‘Do you really want to Restore’ (the short answer is ‘No!’… not one of these anyway!). Possibly the only criticism might be the price guide which aims to offer prices in sterling and dollars and is impossibly complex to work out. Otherwise, this is an excellent guide and essential reading for any potential Fox Mustang buyer!
