Alpinestars Alice ladies jacket

Us poor girls have a hard time getting bike gear to fit, so it was great to try this Alice jacket.

Designed for a woman’s figure, it doesn’t make me look like I’ve stolen a giant’s jacket! It’s made of really soft yet 1.3mm leather, and is CE certified grade A with shoulder and elbow armour.

The fit is great for me, but there is little in the way of adjustment – it fits you or it doesn’t. The side zip is great for older bikes and it’s a nice metal zip... it feels like it’ll last years. I like the zip-in hoodie vest that gives a warmer layer and I like the look; but it takes two minutes to take off.

I want to wear this more – it’s too cold at the moment – but I love how it looks and fits, with its pre-shaped arms and details. It also feels great quality; that is until you feel the armour, which is only CE level 1, I presume to keep the shape. And, like all jackets now, I expect a back protector for more than £300.
