An almost last gasp AMC superbike, the G15/45 was an attempt to capture some of the growing demand from the US for more power. AMC stretched the engine out to 750cc and offered the Matchless G15/45 (there was no AJS equivalent) for sale in the US. It didn’t sell well, possibly because it didn’t look that different to the cooking models. The engine got a reputation for fragility, which was probably undeserved.
