Rickman brothers will attend gathering
THE LEGENDARY Rickman brothers, Don and Derek, creators of the stunning Rickman machines, will be attending the Rickman Brothers Enthusiasts
Day in Hampshire next month. Rickman built its own machines, frame kits and special parts for road bikes and scramblers into the 1980s. At one point Rickman was Britain’s biggest motorcycle manufacturer.
The event at Sammy Miller’s Museum, near New Milton, is being held on August 1 from 10am to 4pm. Organisers expect that a good turn-out of machines will be on show outside the museum. As well as the brothers, the event will also welcome ex-factory workers, and there will be trophies for the best Rickmans on show, as well as a Rickman parts bring-and-buy stand.
