CORRECTION AND CLARIFICATION

IN THE ARTICLE about the BSA Super Rocket kindly loaned to us by Russell

James Motorcycles in the June edition on Classic Bike Guide there was a serious error surrounding the origins of the machine.

We incorrectly stated that the motorcycle was a 1959 model. This was down to a mistake on our part. The BSA was a 1961 model sold by Elite Motors in Tooting. The engine and frame are the original matching items, as listed in the original BSA despatch book, and there is no suggestion that anything else is the case. This was our error, and we would like to apologise wholeheartedly to Russell James and the machine's new owner.
