THE FIRST TRIUMPH BREAKS COVER AT BLENHEIM
The first Triumph motorcycle ever built will be on display at Blenheim Palace from September 1-5 as part of the Salon Privé Concours d'Elégance.
The first Triumph dates from 1901 and used a ¾hp 172cc Minerva engine from Belgium. It is the first time this historic motor bicycle has been seen in public since 1937.
The Salon Privé Concours d'Elégance will feature two bike classes, Exceptional Motorcycles and Exceptional Competition Motorcycles. Previous winners have included motorcycle builder Allen Millyard, who has claimed multiple Salon Privé awards and will return this year with his Kawasaki Z1 Super Six. Tickets cost £325, per day from www.salonpriveconcours.com
