DT/DT250, RT & DT400

Engine: 250-400cc two-stroke singles Weight: 105-125kg Top speed: 78-87mph Year: 1968-1981 DT1 was the world’s first proper Japanese trail iron and hugely popular when new. Its big brother the RT360 series has a rep for kick back and/or breaking engine cases on the earliest models. Reed valve DT250/400s make excellent doanything machines but are heavy in use off-road. MX mono-shock versions are easier to use off-road. Harder to use off-road than smaller models but with more grunt and a higher top speed.
