I have mountains of spanners, but these Halfords Professional ratchet spanners are beyond doubt the best I own. They are a joy to work with. The ratchet ends have 72 tooth mechanisms, which means you can use them in the tiniest increments of movement, while Halfords describes the open jaws as ‘surface drive plus’, which is supposed to reduce the chances of rounding a nut or bolt head. The ratchet ends are small enough to get into awkward places, too. With a foam insert to slot into a toolbox, they come with a lifetime guarantee. They aren’t cheap and sadly only come in Metric sizes, but are well worth the money.
