Dear Matt, I’m sure someone else will have already mentioned, but the picture from the archive in the January edition was taken in Bishop Burton. In the background, the old cottages are now the Altisidora pub and restaurant, and at the left side are a row of cottages built in 1911. The photos were taken on the road between Beverley and York, the busy A1079. I took my photo on a Sunday to avoid the traffic!

The registrati­on number letters of BT on the Triumph was an East Riding of Yorkshire prefix and you used to ‘tax’ your car and motorcycle at Beverley. Incidental­ly, the other East Riding registrati­on prefix was WF.
