Oxford products seem to have upped their game over the last few years, whereas many established names have dropped the ball, opting for quantity over quality. This is great for the UK firm and great for us. Particular attention has been paid to their clothing, which they’ve tried on a few occasions over the years and not got it right. But these socks are brilliant. The waterproof ones are expensive but they turn summer boots into winter/waterproof boots and I often use them in the winter for cycling in trainers. I wear out socks quickly, yet have just thrown out some Oxford socks from more than 10 years ago. My only gripe is the membrane in them feels odd at first, but they are the best waterproof socks I’ve worn.

The Merino wool socks are lovely! Warm, comfy and great for a long day or two in the saddle, they are also long-enough to be worn with bike boots. I’ve felt comfier merino wool socks, but they wouldn’t last as long as these do and would cost twice the price. Just don’t get them wet – they stay wet. Go on, treat your feet!
