BSA Gold Star fever about to break out
It has been a little quiet for those waiting for the new BSA Gold Star 650 to appear, but the company says plans are rapidly moving forward. Top priorities for BSA are the establishment of a dealer network and the announcement of the price.
Originally scheduled for March, this has now been delayed until mid-May, with the first bikes available for delivery expected in June. The UK will be the first place in the world where punters can get their hands on the new Gold Star.
Parent company Mahindra and its offshoot, Classic Legends, are concentrating on the Yezdi brand for their home market, which has a stronger local heritage. The 650 single has been designed in the UK, with development company Ricardo having a significant role, as well as Austrian company Rotax, which developed the engine.
After its arrival in the UK, BSA then plans to launch Gold Star 650 in North America.
Those interested in testing and buying the Gold Star in the UK are asked to register their details at www. bsacompany.co.uk/register/
The company is also advertising a significant number of positions within its UK operation.
