Bikes on show at Brooklands
The Brooklands Museum will celebrate the legacy of motorcycling at the famous circuit this month, matched with the best of today’s bikes and super-machines.
The event will showcase some of the historic bikes in the museum’s collection, including bikes featured on Yesterday channel’s Secrets of the Transport Museum, many of which will be demonstrated by the Brooklands Motorcycle Team. Test Hill will provide a unique opportunity to see how pre-war race bikes fare against today’s supermachines. Always a crowd-pleaser, Test Hill was constructed in 1909 to test acceleration and power and has been in use for events since the museum opened. Bookings will be open on the day to allow people to take their own bikes up there during the session. The rally takes place on July 3. Tickets are available at www.
or on the gate.
