Continental gets a bit on the side from Watsonian

Watsonian now has a fitting kit to attach a sidecar to the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 Twin. The British sidecar manufacturer has been a Royal Enfield dealer for more than 20 years and already produces fitting kits for the Interceptor 650, Meteor 350, Himalayan and 500cc single cylinder models. Designed and built in Watsonian’s Cotswold factory, the kit consists of a subframe that bolts to neatly under the twin cylinder engine to provide sturdy and secure mounting points for the lower arms that attach the sidecar. The upper arms attach to clamps on existing mounting points on the bike’s frame. Made from tubular steel that is welded for strength, the kit is powder-coated for a long-lasting finish, and all the clamps and bolts are heavy-duty items specifically designed and manufactured for the job. Any sidecars from Watsonian’s range can be attached using the kit. The Continental GT 650 fitting kit sells for £475 and prices for the Prescott Sidecar pictured start at £4895.
