Ducati/Rev’it! Strada waterproof trousers

I like wearing leathers now after a lifetime of sensible textiles, but they do let the rain in! So when I saw some waterproof trousers at my local Ducati dealer – on sale – and had Ducati written on them, I had to dust the wallet off! They wrap up in a tiny bag, have an elastic waist, and are wide enough to get over armoured leather trousers. I am lanky (6ft 1in with longish legs) and they are a fine length for myself on the BSA (upright) or the BMW R100RS (sporty). The Velcro adjustments for width on the lower leg are a bit rubbish, but they can go on without taking your boots off and a recent downpour tested them thoroughly – I stayed dry. Just don’t get them near a hot exhaust, and being lightweight – read thin – they’ll not withstand much ripping. But otherwise, a most useful find!
