Laser vernier calipers

I have a wonderful set of manual stainless steel vernier, but my eyes are not so good so I’ve been using cheap digital ones from eBay. But surprise upon surprise, in a world where the cheapest is king, they are all crap, break, and use their batteries in record time. Where do you find something a little better without spending your savings? Halfords has these laser calipers and they are – so far – superb. Easy to read, well made and auto-off when not in use... and not much more than the cheap rubbish!
