The Rotax engine is slightly unusual in that it has a chain final drive on the right, whereas most bikes have it on the left. This doesn’t really make any difference at all, aside from linkages to the rear brake and so on, although the fact that the Matchless has its exhaust also on the right means a lot of baked-on chain gunk. But the rear wheel looks really clean from the left.
