Constellation/Interceptor Mk.1
692/736cc ohv twin || 435lb || 45mpg || 110mph || 1958-68
Big and beefy, if this were a person it would be a nightclub doorman. A race-bred sports development of the Super Meteor, the Connie and the later Interceptor were very fast and a little fragile. They did nothing to dispel the Royal Oilfield nickname. These muscular machines offer a price/ performance balance currently rare among British bikes. An acquired taste, but well worth trying for size.
Prices: low £4500 || high £7500
